If you are looking for a way to discreetly straighten your smile that does not involve braces, we offer Invisalign.
Traditionally, braces were the only way to straighten your teeth. Whilst this is seen as a traditional treatment in children and teenagers, some adults prefer a much more discreet treatment option. Invisalign is a no braces treatment that allows you to get the treatment you like without anyone noticing.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign are sequential clear aligners that incrementally straighten your teeth. Each aligner is worn for 2-3 weeks before progressing to the next set. The number of aligners you require will depend on the amount of movement required.
When you visit us here at Lilli Pilli Dental for a consultation we will assess your individual needs, as unfortunately not everyone is suitable for Invisalign. If Invisalign is the preferred treatment to improve your smile, impressions, photos and xrays are taken and sent to Invisaligns production facilities in the USA.
Approximately four weeks later, you will return to our practice where we will fit you with your first set of aligners. Generally, depending on the rate of progress, we will see you every four to eight weeks after that to change your aligners for the set in the process.
Invisalign and its advantages over traditional braces Once traditional braces are bonded to your teeth they don’t come off until the treatment is complete. With Invisalign, not only are the aligners virtually invisible, you can remove them to eat, drink, for photos and special events.
Your compliance is required With Invisalign, you will be required to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day for optimal results. Wearing the aligners for any less than the prescribed time may prolong treatment and compromise expected results.
